Digital natives share their stories of how they catapulted to meteoric prominence on the platform, and how their instant stardom on the app has impacted their mental health and changed their lives. 

FEROZA AZIZ

Feroza Aziz is an Afghan-American Muslim teen activist from New Jersey. She was censored by TikTok when her make-up video highlighting the Uyghur crisis in China went viral.


DEJA FOXX

At just 19, Deja Foxx made a name for herself as Influencer and Surrogate Strategist and the youngest staffer on Kamala Harris’s campaign. Now, at age 22, Deja is the founder of GenZ Girl Gang, a student at Columbia University, and a Digital Creator with Ford Models focused on advocating for reproductive justice.


SPENCER X

Spencer X is a social media personality famous for his creative beatboxing which has amassed him 55.1M followers, making him tied for the #6 highest-earning TikToker of 2020, according to Forbes. After gaining success on TikTok he moved to LA, couch-surfing with only a couple hundred bucks in the bank, and turned his massive following into sponsorships with major household brands and collabs with numerous music stars.
