Shalini Kantayya in an award-winning director and producer. Her debut feature streamed on Netflix, Executive Produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and was named a New York Times Critics’Pick. Her 2020 Sundance feature, Coded Bias was broadcast on PBS and Netflix, and has been nominated an Emmy Award for Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary, a Critics’ Choice Award, and an NAACP Image award. Her most recent film TikTok, Boom. was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Sundance Film and will broadcast on PBS in October 2022. She has directed television episodes for National Geographic, NOVA and YouTube Originals.

Danni Mynard is a documentary filmmaker, based out of Brooklyn, NY. She produced TikTok, Boom which premiered at Sundance 2022, along with the critically acclaimed Once Upon a Time in Londongrad and WeWork: or the Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn. Her recent work can be viewed on HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Nat Geo and many more.
STEVE ACEVEDO, CINEMATOGRAPHER
Steve is an action-driven, emotion-focused filmmaker, whose projects reflect a rigor and affinity for capturing heart-pounding moments, from elaborate and intensely violent sequences, to a simple shared breath that changes everything. His visual perspective is informed by extensive experience as a cinematographer, including the indie feature credits SATELLITE OF LOVE and JACK’S APOCALYPSE. In the doc world, he recently shot CODED BIAS, which screened in competition at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, as well as the Leonardo DiCaprio produced feature, CATCHING THE SUN.

An image guru and a passionate filmmaker, he has shot for major TV and film projects as well as edited at many of the top editorial houses in NYC. Quite an indulgent dog father, he’s also a master Dojo fighter.

Alexandra is a versatile and experienced filmmaker specializing in post-production. With a background in art and creative writing, she has a unique eye for finding and shaping a story. Her portfolio ranges from award-winning documentaries to major motion picture commercials, to TV and brand promotional content. KATYA MIHAILOVA, COMPOSER
Katya Mihailova is a composer for film and media based in New York City. She is a British Academy Television Craft Awards (BAFTA) 2018 Original Score Nominee and a Film Composer Fellow at the Sundance Institute. Katya composed original scores for a number of documentaries, features and shorts. Notably: “Born Free”; “Russian Woodpecker”, the Grand Jury prize-winner at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival; a Libyan-British documentary "Freedom Fields” (2018) that premiered at TIFF and a Peruvian narrative feature film “The Restoration” (2019). Katya is originally from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
